NOLA at Last

We started out this morning at 8:00 AM with the goal of making New Orleans by 2:30. The trip was rather unremarkable and a bit boring. We did make a stop at Little Eva's Pecan Store and a Love's for gas and a hamburger. The last 30 miles took almost 2 hours due to a traffic accident, so by the time we got to the hotel it was 4:30. The place is a madhouse but the desk clerk said it was a slow day! We are resting up before going to Preservation Hall for the 7:30 show, after which we will go to Pat Obrien's for a hurricane and dinner. The hotel is on Royal Street and our room is on the 18th floor overlooking the Mississippi River.
