Cherie in Blairsville

Our last day of the cousins' tour began Tuesday morning with a twisting and winding drive up and down mountains to Blairsville where Cousin Cherie lives with her husband, David. We arrived early so Doug could pick up an Enterprise rental car he had reserved (he did not wish to ride the train back to Pennsylvania). After he got the car we met Cherie and David at the Longhorn Steak House for a nice leisurely lunch, talking about the family, and catching up with each other. Then we all said our goodbyes and Cherie and David headed home, Doug to Pennsylvania, and me to Texas. Doug and I each arrived at our homes on Wednesday and the long trip was at an end. In 2,422 miles I visited with my sister and six cousins. Doug visited with his brother and sister and five cousins. It was a great trip.
